On behalf of the Chairman and Board of Directors, we would like to sincerely thank all businesses who took part in the Business Improvement District (BID) ballot and have supported us over the past ten years.

Following today’s official declaration by Cyngor Gwynedd, we are delighted to confirm that HWB Caernarfon has secured a new five-year BID term.

63% of votes cast and 75% of the Rateable Values were in favour of renewing the HWB Caernarfon BID. This outcome signals support for continued collective investment in the town centre and provides a clear foundation to build on the progress already made. We now move forward with a shared focus on strengthening Caernarfon’s vitality, resilience and long-term prosperity.

We recognise that the ballot reflected a range of views across the business community. Every levy payer matters, and we fully respect those who chose not to support renewal. The Board takes seriously its responsibility to represent all levy payers — whether you voted yes, no, or did not vote.

We acknowledge that we did not get everything right during the current term and remain committed to learning and improving. As we begin this new phase, we will shortly arrange an informal town-centre business forum open to all levy payers, providing an opportunity to engage with the Board, ask questions, share feedback and contribute ideas.

We will now move straight into delivering key springtime projects, including erecting town-centre flags ahead of Easter, organising the annual Easter Egg Hunt, and coordinating gutter cleaning so the town is looking its best before the busy summer season.

We remain committed to transparency, accountability and delivering value for the whole business community. Together, we will continue to drive Caernarfon forward.

Thank you for your engagement in the democratic process and for your ongoing commitment to the town.

Yours sincerely,
John Stanley Evans Chair,
HWB Caernarfon & on behalf of the Board of Directors
